 You don't think there is anything wrong with going with the flow, and that includes following the crowd. You enjoy getting along with other people, and if possible, you prefer not to make waves. However, you aren't the type of person to follow anyone blindly. You'll stand up for what's important. You don't waste your energy on fighting battles that don't matter. But when something important is on the line, you'll always stand your ground. |
I haven't always been this conciliatory, ironically. I used to be much firmer and combative, not really caring to compromise. I still find it hard to pick my battles, particularly if I have to choose between giving in early or being defeated. But I'm growing more accepting of others' viewpoints, more willing to meet them halfway. It's a side effect of marriage and motherhood, I suspect. I may be as offbeat as ever, I just know better than rub everyone else's faces in it.
